In a conversation with Vox’s Recode, Warner Media CEO Jason Kilar confirmed that “The Batman” in addition to other titles the studio will release this year, such as DC’s “Black Adam” and “The Flash,” will be released 45 days after its theatrical release on HBO Max.
Think about when movies were shown on HBO; it was eight to nine months after their theatrical release. The Batman streaming free, will appear on the 46th day on HBO Max. That’s a big change from where things were in 2018, 2017, 2016,” Kilar said.
I feel very, very good knowing that The Batman 2022, Black Adam, The Flash, Elvis and a host of other movies will literally appear on the 46th on HBO Max in a variety of territories, all around the world. That It’s a very, very big change that I don’t think people appreciate, and I feel really good about it.”

Release
The Batman premiered at the BFI IMAX in London on February 23, 2022. It will premiere in the United States in New York City on March 1, 2022, alongside 350 advance IMAX screenings across the United States, ahead of its wide release by Warner Bros. Pictures on March 4. It was originally set for release on June 25, 2021, before it was pushed back to October 1, 2021, and then to the March 2022 date, both times after Warner Bros. adjusted its release schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Batman will become available to stream on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical release.
