Peter Parker is swinging back into action this week with Spider-Man: No Way Home, coming to theaters this weekend.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was confirmed after a bit of fun from the movie’s stars.
It’s the third movie starring Tom Holland as the spider-boy, and this time, his secret is out. Everyone found that Peter Parker was Spider-Man in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Peter would give just about anything to make them forget.
So he seeks out the help of the super-wizard Dr. Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch)—but something goes wrong with the making-people-forget spell, and a multiverse is opened instead. Cue the return of beloved villains from Sam Raimi’s Spiderman movies, like Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus.

It’s a nostalgia-filled superhero bonanza that you don’t want to miss, so here’s where to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home and when to expect Spider-Man: No Way Home on streaming.
Is Spider-Man: No Way Home Streaming on Disney+?
No, Spider-Man: No Way Home is not streaming on Disney+ or any other streaming service right now. In keeping with Sony’s 2021 release strategy, and with the most recent MCU movies, No Way Home will first be released in theaters only for an exclusive theatrical window.
Of course, the film will eventually arrive on streaming in a few months, after its theatrical and home video windows, but you still won’t see it on Disney+ for quite some time. No Way Home will stream on Starz first, thanks to an existing Pay 1 window deal with Sony. Netflix will take over those rights in 2022, but as a 2021 release, No Way Home is one of the last theatrical Sony releases that fall under the Starz first-pay deal.
Who stars alongside Tom Holland and Zendaya in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and the likes of Jon Favreau and Jacob Batalon with Marisa Tomei. We’ll also see the return of some of the franchise’s most beloved villains such as Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Dt. Otto Octopus and Jamie Foxx as Electro
When Will Spider-Man No Way Home Be Streaming?
The short answer is: We don’t know. A digital release date for Spider-Man: No Way Home has not yet been announced. Unlike other movie studios during the pandemic, Sony has not had a consistent digital release strategy during the pandemic. Another Sony Movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, became available to rent for $19.99 on VOD a little over 45 days in movie theaters. If Spider-Man follows a similar strategy, you might be able to rent the movie for $19.99 as early as the first or second week of February 2022.
The first place Spider-Man: No Way Home will most likely go after its digital release—though it’s not guaranteed—is Starz, due to a pre-existing deal with the premium cable network. If Spider-Man does go to Starz, it will most likely be 6 to 9 months after it opens in theaters, meaning June 2022 to September 2022. It would also be available on services like Hulu with the Starz add-on.

Eventually, Spider-Man will be on Disney+, but we don’t yet know when that is. In April, Disney made a deal with Sony to bring Spider-Man and other Marvel properties to Disney Plus after the movies are released on Netflix. That deal begins with Sony’s 2022 release slate, and while it reportedly includes the entire Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home will release in 2021. Therefore, it’s not clear how long Disney+ viewers will have to wait to see Spider-Man: No Way Home on Disney+.
In other words, it may be a while before Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to stream at home. If you can’t wait to see your spider-boy, you’ll want to go see this one in a movie theater.
Will Spider-Man No Way Home Be On Hbo Max?
No. Spider-Man: No Way Home is a Sony movie, not a Warner Bros. movie, and therefore Spider-Man: No Way Home will not be on HBO Max at the same time it is in theaters. HBO Max—which is owned by Warner Media—has been the streaming home for blockbuster Warner Bros. theatrical movies like Dune, but it will not be the streaming home for Spider-Man: No Way Home. (At least, not any time soon.)

Spider-Man: No Way Home sequels
The big news of the moment is that we’re getting another three Tom Holland MCU Spider-Man movies.
Producer Amy Pascal (whose Pascal Pictures left Sony for Universal) is sure this isn’t the end of Tom Holland in the MCU. She told Fandango that “This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel — [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” before noting “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go on to the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”
Sony may not have been ready for her to say that, as unnamed Sony insiders told The Hollywood Reporter that there are no official plans for such a sequel trilogy.
