Gallen (11-1-1, 6 KOs) was last in action in June when he was stopped by Justis Huni in the tenth round. Prior to that he eliminated Lucas Browne in the first round and defeated Mark Hunt by unanimous decision. Lussick was in action in December 2019 when he made his pro boxing debut with the first-round TKO against Justin Hodges.

The pair are set to meet on Wednesday, December 22 after a new date and venue was found following Aloiai’s withdrawal.
Fans will be treated to two nights back-to-back, kicking off on Tuesday, December 21 with a card headlined by super flyweight star Andrew Moloney’s bout with Froilan Saludar.

Both nights of the double-header will be hosted at the Star Event Centre in Sydney.
Newcastle, a favoured destination for promoter No Limit Boxing, was initially due to hold the events but Aloiai’s withdrawal and the last-minute date change saw the venue switched up.
The Star Event Centre can host around 3,000 spectators.

Who is Darcy Lussick?
Darcy Lussick is a former rugby league player who featured 117 times in the NRL for Manly and Parramatta.
Lussick, 32, most recently played for Featherstone in England, having initially signed with Super League expansion side Toronto Wolfpack. The Sydneysider has one professional fight to his name — a devastating first-round knockout win over Justin Hodges in 2019.
At the press conference to announce the fight with Gallen, the former Sharks skipper acknowledged that staying away from Lussick’s power shots will be crucial.
“He’s a harder puncher [than Aloiai]. The other bloke was probably going to try and be a bit pretty… whereas Darcy is going to come forward and just try and punch me,” Gallen said.
“I’ve got to avoid those big punches and punch him back.”
Perhaps fortunately, the fight is booked for three two-minute rounds.
